My name is Paula, lovely to meet you 🙂
I’m the writer and content creator behind Reclaiming Eudaimonia. I created Reclaiming Eudaimonia under a different name at first, but the core message of it never changed.
Discussing wellness using fun to make infographics. (Ok, that infographic part’s for me, but you gotta admit, they’re pretty easy to read).
I got interested in wellness through nutrition. My undergrad is in Nutrition with a minor in Public Health. For a time, I was also a certified personal trainer.
Currently, I’m a grad student. I’m working on a degree in Health Informatics which is very different from my undergrad but just as cool if you ask me.
From what I can tell, it’s debatable how many dimensions of wellness there are. Here at Reclaiming Eudaimonia, I’m going with 10. Physical, emotional, intellectual, social, cultural, spiritual, environmental, financial, occupational and sexual. Like most people, I associated wellness with the first 2 listed dimensions of wellness. You might recognize them by their other names, fitness and nutrition, and mental health or mental state. Which is good they’re getting attention, but they’re not the whole story.
All the dimensions come together like grades on a report card to give a full report on how you’re handling life. The reason it’s important to first be aware of all the dimensions, but secondly, look into the dimensions of wellness is because they can be worked on and improved.
In the large scheme of things, what that means for you is that you can change your life into what you want it to be.
