What does revenge on a toxic person look like?

Hey guys,

So if you’re wondering why I’m suddenly into talking about toxic folks, it’s because I’m doing something on social media called “Breaking The Toxic Nexus”. I couldn’t tell you the exact straw that broke the camel’s back, but I can tell you that I’ve honestly had it with toxic folks. Now I know you’re thinking, “the toxic folks in your life aren’t the toxic folks in my life”. You’re right they’re not and they don’t need to be because toxic people all follow the same playbook. I’ve been calling it the “Toxic Person Manifesto” on social media (side note, the social media accounts are linked in the sidebar, please check them out).

Getting back to it, how do you take revenge on a toxic person? By rebuilding. Little by little, you start to let the light back into your life. I like who I was before my encounters with the toxic folks in my life, but you couldn’t pay me enough to go back to being that version of myself. It’s not about trying to go back to who you were, it’s about picking up where you left off. The one thing “who I was” and “who I am now” have in common is “who we’d like to be”. There are slight variations but for the most part that hasn’t changed. I’m about to go church on you, but I honestly believe toxic people are sent by the enemy specifically with the assignment of distracting you from who you’re becoming.

Your saving grace is that you aren’t yet that person, just their potential. You want revenge on the toxic person? Finish the job, become that version of yourself that you’ve always wanted to be. If you’re not motivated by revenge, and instead just want to heal, let me throw in this little gem I’ve picked up on along the way: you doing better for yourself, will always be an affront to a toxic person.

That’s all from me, have a great weekend folks!
