How to not care what people think

Good morning and good morning folks,

Not caring about what people think is easier when you don’t know the people who have strong opinions about you because they’re easier to write off. But what happens when the people aren’t strangers? The first instinct and the natural instinct anyone would have, especially if it’s someone whose opinion they value, would be to try and defend themselves. When we learn that somebody’s whispering all sorts of nonsense to anyone and everyone who’ll listen, we put on our FBI hats to try and figure what specific damage has been done because we can see people acting brand new towards us, but we fail to investigate the most crucial thing, and that’s why did they believe it in the first place? It’s natural to get worked up and upset that some people really don’t like you to the point where they’ll start lying on your name which is an issue in itself, but how come you were a lot faster in putting on your detective cap than the people who heard whatever mess they heard about you? That should tell you something. We all carry narratives in our heads but when things happen to shake those narratives up, don’t hold steadfast to your narrative. Friendly reminder, we don’t actually see the world as it is, but as we are. To be able to see things for what they are, you have to be aware that you place filters on things. Child of God, the battle is not yours but the Lords. Our vibe here is usually, hold your peace, mind your business, and drink water, but for today, it’s going to be

Hold your peace, mind your business, and let the Lord defend you

Have a lovely day y’all,
