Thank you for your patience. I’m sorry for the delay, but here is the post on money management.
In as much as this is a wellness website and, wellness is my LOVE, I forget sometimes I heal from some of this sh*t too. This post in particular because this is raw for me. Here’s the thing, while I don’t make a lot of money, I should still have way more money in my bank account than I presently do but for whatever reason, I’m not good at retaining money.
Don’t get me wrong, I have some expensive hobbies, I’m aware, but that’s what makes it CRAZY. I’m aware how I am so how do I not know better? How long will I keep not knowing better? It feel like there’s mistakes I’m not outgrowing and it’s just frustrating the hell out of me. I know I’m not the only one trying to make shit add up.
How is it, that, your taxes will be like, you made X amount of money since the year started but your bank account is like, “You did? WHAT HAPPENED TO IT? ARE YOU CHEATING ON ME WITH A SAVINGS ACCOUNT? RETIREMENT FUND? *Gasp* ONE OF THOSE HIGH YIELD SAVINGS ACCOUNTS? IT’S THE 401K ISN’T IT?” What it boils down to is shitty money management on my part.
I don’t usually have conclusions when it comes to financial wellness. Still, I like bringing it up so we can highlight the issues that come up because I think it’s important we start talking about money.
I forgot to post a lineup for things to come this week, but on Monday we’ll be looking at credit scores. Things like why they are important to lenders and why it’s important that we build them. Previous posts I’ve done on financial wellness if you’d like to see more include Managing Your Money, Money Saving Tips if you’d like to see more topics on money and financial wellness.
That’s all from me today, have a lovely weekend and I’ll catch you Monday.
